Tuesday September 15 5-7pm come along and take a look and help us celebrate and say thank you to a pretty wonderful team that made it all happen

This is our goal and we have our preliminary meeting with an inspector or advisor or I don’t-know-what-his-title-is from the organization that awards this recognition. He’s coming this week to help us make our plan for the tasks we need to do to become an official ‘Green’ Hotel. We’ve busily tranferred all our cleaning supplies to natural, not chemical-based, products. For several years we have used large containers of soap and shampoo in our bathrooms, rather than disposable individual plastic bottles. And, of course, we love our Vermont Soapworks organic soap and bodywashes. We use local suppliers whenever we can and are even beginning to grow some of our own herbs and vegetables (though, if you have read other sections of this blog, you’ll know this is not going very well….we did use our own basil last night!)
